In The Glass: Pfeiffer ’08 Blue Dot Reserve Pinot Noir

My best girlfriends of 20+ years

I finally got some time to celebrate the exciting win for Best New Wine Blog, and it was the best celebration possible. Three of my best friends and I spent an afternoon at one of the South Willamette Valley’s premier wineries: Pfeiffer Winery. We split a bottle of the Pfeiffer 2008 Blue Dot Reserve Pinot Noir and enjoyed every last sip of this fine wine while sitting among the tranquil and gorgeous Pfeiffer Winery Water Gardens. It was simply amazing.

The amazing Pfeiffer ’08 Blue Dot Reserve Pinot Noir

The Pfeiffer Winery 2008 Blue Dot Reserve Pinot Noir is an excellent example of the stellar wines of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. This wine is exactly why our region is known for world-class Pinot Noirs. Aromas of blackberries, blueberries, oak and earth flow through to the palate. Juicy from start to finish, this Pinot is very well rounded, has great depth of character and a silky, velvety mouthfeel. I absolutely love the lingering finish. If I could afford to drink it everyday, I would. It is truly a beautiful Pinot Noir – and perfect for a celebration.
