In The Glass: Domaine Drouhin 2010 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

While attending the recent Oregon Wine Industry Symposium in Portland, I was able to get a taste of Domaine Drouhin’s 2010 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, and it is most certainly one of those Pinots that make me brag on and on about Oregon wine – it’s truly a great representative of the incredible Pinots we have.

This Pinot Noir is pure elegance. Aromas and flavors boast a juicy, luscious layer of dark cherries and ripe raspberries with hints of cedar and earth – and it all flows from front to back like a silky wave in the mouth. Vibrant mid-palate acid highlights and rounds out the red fruits, creating a beautifully balanced Pinot Noir.

Cheers to another excellent woman winemaker in Oregon, VĂ©ronique Drouhin.
