57 Oregon Rieslings

After an incredible Sparkling Brunch finale to a weekend filled with stellar Pinot Noirs at the world-famous International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC), I headed over to the Back Room at Nick’s Italian Cafe in downtown McMinnville; 57 Oregon Rieslings were waiting to grace my palate with a world of complex flavors and textures.

It will be interesting to see which of the 57 Oregon Rieslings will end up at the White House – the wine buyer for 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC, also attended this tasting, and he was vigorously taking notes.

But my notes are unnecessary, these Rieslings are overwhelmingly stunning with gorgeous characteristics through and through.  Listed from super dry to super sweet, these are the best of the best coming out of Oregon:

We are definitely doing it right here in Oregon…from super dry to super sweet, they were all very good! These were my favorites, but all 57 were impressive. Cheers, and thank you for reading!

  2. SuperSlurper says:

Hi Julia! …..Always a nice post and no disappointment here. Summertime Rieslings from Oregon! Very cool especially sine Riesling is one of the very great noble grapes of the world. Thanks also for the look at Pinot, another ‘thing bein’ done right’ in Oregon!

    Cheers!

You’d be surprised by Oregon’s incredible Chardonnays, too (or maybe you already have been)…I’m impressed with each one I try. I recently received a case of Oregon Rieslings, which will be featured one by one under my Best Case Scenario tab on the home page. Right now it’s filled with Pinot Noirs, but I’m looking forward to writing about each of the Rieslings, too. So far, they have all been outstanding! Cheers – and thanks so much for reading!
