In The Glass: Eugene Wine Cellars b2 Pinot Noir 2009

There’s a bit of a crazy story behind how two friends and I retrieved a bottle of Eugene Wine Cellars b2 2009 Pinot Noir, and the whole story was shared through my Local Lunch Gals article that was recently posted on Eugene Daily News – check it out!

For now, I’d like to tell you about the b2 Pinot Noir we had in our glasses.

b2 2009 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir has grapes sourced from six different vineyards throughout the Willamette Valley. Light garnet in color with a brickish halo around the rim, aromas of cranberry and cherry are prominent with a hint of forest floor. On the palate, intense fruit flavors mellow towards the finish with hints of earth and spice which creates a well rounded, extremely approachable wine. This Pinot would pair really nicely with Blue Cheese, Gorgonzola or Havarti.

Eugene Wine Cellars has an urban winery in downtown Eugene along with a wine bar and restaurant, named b2 Wine Bar, just several miles from the winery – well worth a visit to sample their line of b2 wines in addition to many other local favorites for sale by the glass or bottle. 2794 Shadow View Drive, Eugene.
