Oregon Wine Board Tour: Day 1

With a quick pick up from the Oregon Wine Board shuttle at my house this morning, two Wine Board representatives and. I have a full schedule ahead of us for the first day of the Oregon Wine Harvest Media Tour. We plan to arrive at southern Oregon’s airport in Medford around 2 pm to pick up five California wine writers, and then head straight out to Rogue Valley’s Del Rio vineyards where we’ll tour the vineyards and hopefully taste some of their highly acclaimed wines.

We’ve also got plans for dinner with owners of several Southern Oregon wineries at a restaurant in Ashland before turning in for the night at a local inn.

I’ll be live blogging along the way for the next four days of the Harvest Tour( as long as I have service), and I’m really excited to share my Oregon wine adventures with you as I taste my way from one end of the state to the other!
