Territorial Vineyards Equinox Chardonnay 2011

If you know me well, you know very well that I”m a huge fan of Territorial Vineyards and Wine Company located in Eugene’s eclectic Whiteaker Neighborhood. Not only do I love their stellar wine, but I happen to love hanging out at their hip, urban wine bar.  Open only three days a week, there’s a limited time wine lovers can enjoy the Territorial wines while experiencing an up-close live music venue, so when my husband and I are able to get a sitter and have a night out on the town, we undoubtedly end up at Territorial.

The last time my husband and I kicked-back at the Territorial wine bar, the always friendly and very knowledgeable tasting room manager, Lisa, pulled out an unreleased bottle of 2011 Chardonnay and poured a taste for us – it was delicious.

Territorial’s 2011 Equinox Vineyard Chardonnay has rich and tantalizing aromas of tropical fruit, hazelnuts and vanilla which are also displayed on the palate with an additional hint of coconut, butter and sweet wood. 

With just three sips in my glass of the pre-release sample, I savored the tropical aromas and flavors while I reminisced about my days of sailing through the southern Exuma islands of the Bahamas on a sailboat, coincidentally named, Chardonnay.

Territorial’s stellar Chardonnay has since been released, and it’s one not to be missed.
