Event: Savor Southern Oregon
Savor Southern Oregon is a unique food and wine event that is taking place this Sunday, September 16, from 2 – 6 pm, at Portland’s Director Park.
Southern Oregon is the state’s fastest growing wine region, and during the Savor Southern Oregon event, Southern Oregon winemakers will feature more than 100 wines unique to the region including Albarino, Viognier, Roussanne, Tempranillo, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and other eclectic blends.
Participating wineries include Abacela, Agate Ridge Vineyard, Bridgeview Winery, Cliff Creek Cellars, Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden, Daisy Creek Vineyard, Delfino Vineyards, Del Rio Vineyards, EdenVale Winery, Folin Cellars, Foris Vineyards, Henry Estate Winery, LaBrasseur Vineyard, Melrose Vineyard, Misty Oaks Vineyard, Pyrenees Vineyard & Cellars, Quady North, Red Lily Vineyards, RoxyAnn Winery, Southern Oregon Wine Institute, Spangler Vineyards, Troon Vineyards, Valley View Winery and Wooldridge Creek Winery.
In addition to featuring many of the regions wines and wineries, some of the state’s most well-known purveyors, including Rogue Creamery, Harry & David, Gary West Meats and Noble Coffee, will be attending the event to showcase and sample gourmet meats, cheeses, chocolates and treats. Four Portland chefs will be teaming up with farmers and fisherman from the southern part of the state to create unique seasonal bites – a result of Farm to Fork Food Court program, which makes its debut during the Savor Southern Oregon event.
This event will also offer wine education, live music, a raffle to win a weekend getaway to Southern Oregon, commemorative wine glasses and more. General tickets are $39 dollars in advance and $50 dollars at the door. VIP tickets are $79 dollars in advance and include early entry, meet and greet with winemakers and chefs, library wine tasting, two raffle tickets and commemorative wine glasses.
