What’s In My Glass Today?

Technically, this wine was in my glass yesterday, not today, but it is so worth mentioning.

Foris 2009 Rogue Valley Fly Over Red

This red blend consists of 46% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon and 26% Malbec. Although I’m not much of a Merlot fan, I love Malbec  and Cabernet Sauvignon, and with a price of just $13.99, I didn’t think twice about adding this one into my shopping basket

But what really captured my attention, was the story on the backside label which explained why this wine was named ‘Fly Over Red.’

I really enjoyed this little beauty from southern Oregon. Garnet in color, its aromas consisted of cherries and plums, and the texture was medium bodied with mellow, soft tannins. The flavors mimicked the aromas and the finish was very well balanced making this wine really very easy to drink.

This is the perfect wine for those white wine drinkers who want to dabble in the reds.
