Stoller Family Estate: Photo Essay
A few weeks ago, my husband and I had the opportunity to help harvest the Pinot Gris at Gaston, Oregon’s, Kramer Vineyards. Coined Oenocamp, we became a part of the Kramer crew for a day to pick, sort and press grapes – ending the event with a delicious lunch and glasses full of the Kramer’s outstanding 2010 and 2011 Sparkling Wine.
Since Kramer Vineyards is a little over two hours away from where we live, the lovely folks at Stoller Family Estate, located in the beautiful Dundee Hills just 30 minutes from Kramer, hosted us for two nights; allowing us time to enjoy one of their three beautiful wine country cottages and to sit down for an incredible wine tasting with Melissa Burr, the winemaker at Stoller. I recently wrote about our experience at Stoller on my weekly wine-centric column on Eugene Daily News, Wine Down Eugene. Without enough room to share all of the fantastic photos I took while at Stoller, I thought I’d share them through a photo essay here on WineJulia.com.
The Cottage at the Pond and the other two guest cottages at Stoller Estate can be booked on-line through one of my favorite vacation destination booking sites: Vacation Rentals By Owner, also known as VRBO.com.
Visit Stoller Family Estate at 16161 NE McDougall Rd., Dayton, OR 97114. Open daily 11 am – 5 pm. Check out Stoller’s new mobile tasting room app – simply go to tastestoller.com. Be sure to click on the 720 degree tours, it’s a great way to virtually experience the tasting room and vineyard.
**Thank you to Janel Lubanski and Dixie Huey of the fabulous Trellis Growth Partners. Special thanks to Melissa Burr for the spectacular wine tasting and Betsy Hannaford, Marketing Communications Manager; along with, everyone at Stoller Family Estate for their gracious hospitality.
